Cannot disable spoken content button ios XR 17.4.1

Hi, can someone help me - I cannot find the option to turn off or on the spoken content controller. It used to be somewhere near Highlight control and I was able to do that before and now it simply disappeared. I have tried turning off all the options in Assessibiliry / Spoken Content and Assessibility / Assistive Touch but nothing worked. Many thanks! Pauline

Am no expert in this area, yet your request surely deserves some response.

Wondering if this short video can help you:

Else: If more help with this feature is needed:

See: Apple's Accessibility Support Website

Many thanks for your help Alancito! I am not sure why my phone was not updated to 17.5 but I manually did that, and turned on the Speak Screen then it worked! NB. Apparently the iOS update seemed essential, because before doing that update, I still could not hide the controller even with Speak Screen on.

Thank you so much for your help!

Pauline.
