Using Bold Font & Assistive Touch on iPad

I cannot turn on Bold Font in the Accessibility (display and font size) setting and the Assistive Touch option at the same time. Each time I click on bold text, it immediately removes the Assistive Touch button from the ipad screen. What’s even more confusing, you can use both options simultaneously on an Iphone, just not on an iPad. Would anyone have any insight into this. I have vision issues and using both options on my iPad simultaneously would be a real help. -Thanks
