GarageBand won't open and icon is whited out

Have MacBook Air M1 2021. Have used GarageBand until recently when computer shut down. Upon restarting it GarageBand will not open and it along with several app icons appear whited out. Ive tried to re-load the app but it doesn't give me that option. Only to "Open" which it will not do when I click on the button. How do I fix this problem?
