Is there a way for a warning to appear before regions are deleted or edited when they are off screen?

Creating even slightly complex arrangements in garageband is so stressful because I have found it is too easy to accidentally delete or clip regions that I cannot see just because they are somehow selected at the same time as another that I have on screen.

Is there a setting where I can make this more difficult to do? A warning for anything off screen being edited/removed?
