How can I transfer music from my hard drive to iPod classic 160GB?

I have an iPod classic 160gb that I haven't used for a while as I have Apple Music now.

I decided to revive it to take away on holiday with me. When I connect the iPod I can see it in finder and also in Apple Music in the sidebar - I can see its contents but what I am unable to work out is how to sync it to the downloaded music that is on my hard drive that I have added - CDs etc. (not my apple music account - I know that any apple music cannot be transferred as I don't 'own' that)

How do I do this?
