David and Idris, it is nice to see Photos users here. It makes me feel at home here right from the start!
So far, I have just been playing around with my Vision Pro. As Apple is calling the Vision Pro a Vision Pro the first spatial computer and the first spatial camera I am expecting it to be able to do more than an iPhone or iPad with respect to computing, I hope, it will get much better over time.
So far, I can enjoy 3D photos and videos by watching them on the Vision Pro, but not organize them or add adjustments or metadata. No smart albums, no titles or captions below the thumbnails, no Info panel with metadata. As most of my albums are smart albums based on keywords, I have to recreate most of my smart albums as standard albums to be able to access my photos and videos on the Vision Pro.
I love the ability to turn still frames into 3D photos, they are just looking great this way, but when I try to create a photo book in Keynote or Pages, so I can add it to the Books.app the 3D items are becoming flat.
I sincerely hope, FatCat Software will bring PowerPhotos to the Apple Vision Pro, so we can use Photos on Vision Pro with several windows and can profit from the huge virtual display.
And Keynote and Pages will catch up and will soon be able to include 3D videos and photos from our Vision Pro and allow us to share epub books with 3D photos to Books.
David, I also started using a Mac in 1984, and I loved it.
