cc# controllers in Logic interrupting each other / Logic Pro

Hello!

When mixing a very complicated orchestral track in Logic, I find that there are CC automations (Usually #7 for volume) in the piano roll window below (automations), that interfere with the controller automations in the main window above. If for instance a volume automation in the edit window is moving around yet the volume in the main window is set to a single level, the volume from the lower edit window overrides the main window volume level. Is this correct? Also, is there a way to select multiple 'piano roll volume automations' those yellow lines and chenge them all at once? I'm not talking about velocity numbers. Thanks!!! Bill
