What height to raise monitor to?

I am setting up my home office. The desk height is 27" (seems a bit low)

- Knee height is 22" Armrest height 26"

So screen one is 5" to 18" above desktop. 32" to 45" from floor

Screen two is 5" to 19" 'above hutch. Hutch is 7". 39" to 53" from floor.

Eye height is estimated at 50" (4'-2")

Seems like the low monitor needs to be raised up 4"

and the higher monitor lowered 3".

So I need a 4" booster, not a 7" booster.

Desk Height calculator @ inchcalculator dot com says:

For a 5'10" sitting person

Suggested desk height is 26-28"

Suggested chair height is 16-18"

Top of screen height is 48'-50"

Although your desk height may seem low at first, that may be a better typing height. You want your forearms to be level when typing, so that you can maintain a 'neutral' wrist position (nether flexed nor extended) and keyboard height should be adjusted until that is possible. Sometimes adding a lower keyboard 'Tray' is required to get there. This is one of the most important features of your work area, to avoid repetitive strain injury to your wrists.

The standard recommended display height is to that the TOP of your display is at level eye height. Higher may give you neck strain in the long run.
