Quick Time Player not compatible with Microsoft Teams recordings

Hi, I am attempting to watch a recorded meeting on teams app on my MacBook Air. (purchased brand new July 2024). All software is up to date, and I'm receiving an error when attempting to download the recordings and view them. Has anyone encountered this? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I have also attempted to view from safari with the same error encountered.
