Apple wireless keyboard (old) not working on pages app

I hooked up my wireless Apple keyboard. I believe it’s quite older. It takes two batteries, so I’m not sure which year but it hooked up to my iPad. I can use it to search online, but it will not work with my Pages app. Does anyone know how to fix this since I have a document I need to type.

logitech k380 keyboard not working i’ve recently gotten a logitech k380 keyboard and it’s been working fine until today. when i tried to connect it to my ipad via bluetooth, it simply selects the 3 dots at the top of my screen and i can’t type anything. my settings show that it is connected to my ipad. i’ve tried switching my keyboard on and off multiple times, and even reconnecting it using the switch keys but nothing seems to work. how could i solve this?
