Unable to connect to iTunes and my Apple ID using my iPod touch

I have an old Ipod touch that I want to use after a long time.

It is impossible to connect with Itunes.

I cannot even connect with my Apple ID.

What is going wrong?

It's the Ipod itself that does not connect to the apple store nor Itunes. It has nothing to do with windows.

iTunes is the programme on your computer. If you use a Windows computer, then my answer is relevant.

The iTunes Store is just that; the iTunes Store (it is not "iTunes"), hence the confusion.

As bobjbkln mentioned, older iPod Touch models can no longer use the iTunes Store, which is why your ID will not work in the store.

Your iPod can still use iTunes (the Windows programme) and your Apple ID will work in iTunes.
