My school switched our lab from iMacs to Mac Studios, and now the option to use Fn Keys as Standard Function Keys is not working. Whether the switch is on or off, you still have to hold the Fn key before you click F5, F6, etc... to use them for Standard Functions. This is disappointing, as many of the programs that we use in class use the F keys as shortcuts for important functions.

It shouldn't make a difference whether you're setting the preference on an iMac or on a Mac Studio.
Do you know which version of macOS is running on the iMacs where things work? And which version of macOS is running on the Mac Studios where things do not work? If there is a bug, I think it is much more likely to be related somehow to the version of macOS, or to the particular keyboard model, than to the actual Mac itself.
If you can describe the problem well enough for someone to replicate it, you might want to tell Apple about it, by submitting feedback.
