Voiceover ChatGPT Issue

Dear Support Team,

I am a voiceover user experiencing an issue with the ChatGPT app on my iPhone 13 Mini. This problem began after I updated my device to the latest iOS version on the morning of 29 August 2024. Since the update, I have been unable to activate the send button using voiceover or activate voice input in the ChatGPT app. Before the update, both features were working perfectly.

Here are some details of the problem:

  • Device: iPhone 13 Mini
  • iOS Version: iOS 17.6.1 (21G93)
  • ChatGPT App Version: 1.2024.233 (10530873201)
  • Issue Description: After the iOS update, the send button and voice input functionality in the ChatGPT app stopped working on voiceover. I’ve already tried common troubleshooting steps, such as restarting the phone, reinstalling the app, and checking for updates.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? If this is a known problem or there are additional troubleshooting steps I could try, I would appreciate your guidance.

Am no expert in this area, yet your post certainly deserves some reply.

It seems you may be experiencing a compatibility issue.


Apple automatically keeps its own apps updated along with iOS releases;

however we are not so fortunate with third-party (non-Apple) apps.


ChatGP app may or may not need to release new versions to keep in step with iOS updates.

or if it is an Apple software issue that Apple has feedback about from several users, it may be

addressed in a future update.

Try deleting the app and adding it back. If that doesn't work, contact the developers for help with their product.
