Using different tempos on individual scenes in Logic Live Loops?
Hi all!
I'm currently writing/recording music for a dance performance using Logic Pro.
I have a bunch of different pieces of music that I have to sync with the dancers on stage. I want to be able to make loops out of certain sections of the music and then trigger the next part when I see that the dancers are about to move on. Since the dance choreography is somewhat improvised the different parts of the performance won't take the same time, every performance. So just playing the music back in Logic, is not an option. I need to be able to decide when it's time to move on to the next part. Using the live loops feature in Logic would be super practical but here's the issue: The music is changing it's tempo, has ritardandos/accelerandos etc. Whenever I put a piece of music in to Live Loops it will change the music in accordance to the global tempo-setting, and keep it there. So I'm wondering if anyone have an idea about how I could make this happen? Live Loops won't let me change the tempo of individual scenes or even follow the tempo-changes in the loops.
Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
