Can I make Keyswitches non transposing?

Most VST libraries use keyswitches to the activation various articulations. One problem with this is transposition:

If I transpose a region or track (or change the project's global transposition) Logic Pro X transposes the keyswitches as well. That means my VST instrument articulation controls become offset as well.

In contrast, if I change the Project's global transposition drum tracks (MIDI channel 10) do NOT transpose. So I've been searching for an analogous way to prevent particular notes from transposing.

Perhaps something as simple a note property like: Transposable = ON / OFF. Or NOTE = Keyswitch.

Does any such option exist?

The goal is to select my keyswitches and make them immune from transposition triggered by region, track or global settings. (Of course I also need to retain the option of dragging keyswtiches to other note positions in order to change articulation if I wish.)

Not sure what your issue is with saving Art Sets: click 'Save as", name it, locate the directory... save.

They are fiddly to set up, and they have some quirks.

They are visible (and editable) in the Piano Roll and Score editors via the local inspector ( and the Help tag):

Once enabled in the local View menu, they are visible in the Event List

There are articulations sets made by third party companies. Just google it. From time to time forum users offer sets for free (never seen it, in THIS forum).

Articulation Sets are a reasonable candidate, and by listening through a track or region can know where the articulation changes occur. But (in the Piano Roll Editor) can note to identify itself as having an articulation property from an Articulation Set.

The advantage to regular keyswitches is their visibility in the Piano Roll. The disadvantage—as stated in the original post—is that keyswitches are affected by transpositional properties, whether project/global, track, or region.

The advantage to Articulation Sets is their transpositional immunity. There disadvantages:

1) The arcane, hacked-on user interface (Just try to understand saving via Save As)

2) The tedious setup. (Are Sets available by vendor/product for easy import?

4) Some articulations are mutually exclusive, that's clear, but would using set limit us to just one articulation per note?
