Apple Studio will not default to Apple Studio Monitor for Login and Icons

I have a Apple Studio with a Apple Studio Display, and a Second Monitor which is a cheap MSI HD Only monitor connected to the Apple Studio via the HDMI connections.


The Apple screen lights up on the press of the power button, but the MSI takes nearly a minute to warm up and start displaying something.


At the moment and for some unknown reason the Login, the Dock, and all Onscreen widgets and Icons appear on the MSI which is really annoying.


The main monitor should be the Apple Studio monitor and not the MSI!


Is there a way to set this up, i.e. set the Apple screen to be the default monitor?

Computers do what you TELL them to do, not what you WANT them to do.


You specify which is the PRIMARY display in the displays arrangement pane, by dragging the tiny menubar icon to the Primary display. This is an older version, but the concepts are unchanged:
