Why can't I update my iPhone to iOS 18?

I’m updating my ios to 18 and currently using public beta 18 too. I want to use the official ips18 but it always failed after downloading it. My internet is stable, i already turn off my phone, and off the public beta. What is wrong?

So I was in your same situation I have two tips

1) If you want to test the beta out and go on the official version don't update to the RC Beta versions. Since you're in iOS 18.1, don't update to the RC version and turn off beta updates and wait until they release it officially.

2) Back up and Restore your phone from the backup.

Please am using an iPhone XR and since the iOS 18 came I have tried updating my phone but whenever I try to do so then the response I get is”An error occurred while downloading iOS 18” so please I need your help.

That's the same exact issue I'm having. I did the long update to iOS18, but I don't have all the updated features. I have an iphone 14, so should be fine. Really don't want to sit on the phone with apple support to get it fixed.

ios 17.7 update is available on my 14pro but there is error while doing the update the screen shows that try again later.. while there are 2 updates 17.7 and 18.0 but neither both the updates are showing and the error is occurring

If you have an M4 iPad, you won't be able to. Apple pulled the update as, for a small number of people, it caused significant issues. You'll need to wait until they re-release it.

Same mine keeps saying error updating and that it failed. It’s getting very irritating because I can’t use Snapchat, Facebook, or Instagram at all and I know it’s due to this dumb iOS 18. Idk why it keeps failing I have enough storage, strong WiFi, and my phone is charged . Very annoying

Do you have an M4 iPad?

The fact you're having trouble with Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram is unlikely to have anything to do with this. Those apps still work fine under iPadOS 17.x.x.

I have iPhone 12 mini and I see the iOS 18 update but when I click “Update now” it shows update requested then it takes me back to the page where it says “iOS 17 is up to date.” FYI I have enough storage. What do I do?

my phone is just doing an iOS 17.7 update which is ridiculous because I have a newer phone than my daughter and she already has iOS 18. I don’t understand why I’m not getting offered iOS 18 why my updates are so behind.

In the Software Update screen, if you scroll down past iOS 17, there should be a small button for iOS 18.

If you have already updated to iOS 17.7, you may need to wait a few days for iOS 18 to re-appear.

Nee phone got in mail yesterday did quick start but uploading iso 18 it froze. Cant ho any further. What can i do. How do we fix. Can someone at Apple stofe correct it. Im very frustrating. Need my phone

I think you’re ignoring our main question and our main complaint. Why aren’t we seeing that there is an update for us, obviously some people aren’t. I am not seeing that there is an update available for me. My iPad is telling me that I am up-to-date with iOS 17.7 do da. I use YouTube and know beyond a shadow of a doubt hundreds of streamers are showing videos of iPad iOS 18 running smoothly on their iPads now. Why is my iPad lying to me? I have an M4 16 gig one terabyte iPad Pro that somehow must be broken because it says I’m up-to-date and I know I’m not. Yes, there are millions trying to update iPhones and iPads right now but this is Apple‘s plan. Sad plan, sad way to treat the people buying their most progressive and expensive devices, but what do I know, they are the experts they have the sharp minds and the cash to execute any plan.

Do you have an M4 iPad? If so, Apple has pulled the iPadOS 18 version for that device due to some serious issues. It is not available. Apple has not stated when they will make it available again.
