iOS 18 Disable Video Looping in Photos App?

OMG yes! If I could find a way to uninstall 18 I would do it for the video looping feature alone. It’s annoying and totally unnecessary!

Disable auto looping of videos. Very irritating and totally unnecessary

I’ve been using Apple phones since the very beginning. This is the one feature that would make me trade it in for a Samsung. I’ve literally thrown my phone over this and I’ve never done that with any other device ever.

I realize I might be to blame for all the confusion and why so many people are leaving comments in this forum chain when I said that Apple support suggested that we “leave a comment here to have them change it back in future versions”. What I meant was to leave a comment to the link below.

Judd told you Apple said leave a comment so maybe they’ll change it back? That is ridiculous. Who made the decision to have our videos on a constant loop? Good Lord!

TY! One of the most annoying things ever! WTH are they thinking? So bad. Why change this without the user consent, then give no way to change back. Such a poor poor decision.

I requested this auto looping be disabled or provide an option for the user to turn it off. If you are annoyed also please make a request here directly to Apple. Feedback - Photos - Apple

I would prefer if there were a setting in photos settings that could enable or disable it similar to the “Auto-Play Motion” setting in photos settings.

That way people who like it can keep it and those who don’t can disable it.

Normal Youtube videos doesnt auto loop unless you tell it to do so. I know youtube shorts does but thats it. I also wish that could be turned off for youtube shorts. But for videos you have taken yourself and play on your iphone, there should def. be an option to turn this auto loop off.

However, you can update to iOS 18.2.1, which adds an option to toggle it on or off.

Me too the same suggestion. It must be avoid.

I just got the iPhone 16 pro max and can’t Disable Video Looping in the Photos App.

why did you break this with the latest update?
