Since updating to my iMac 13.7 (22H123) on 9/20/2024, dragging an address URL in Safari to bookmarks bar or bookmarks folder is horribly challenging. An icon used to appear in the Safari URL where the icon could be dragged anywhere--even desktop, but now that icon is gone and the address URL can only be dragged if the entire address is highlighted. There is no intuitive indication that dragging is available even at that point. This is a regression or dumb change!
This is an ugly bug. Sometimes the icon appears, but most of the time it doesn't. I have already filed a bug report, but after a new update this bug still persists. The new functionality should not make it impossible to use the app normally. This is not good, Apple.
