Books not working iPadOS 17.7

I have an iPad 6th gen running iPadOS 17.7. My books app will not run. I use iCloud books, and I can see all of my books, and the current book I’m reading, but I can’t open it, or any other books in my library. I press on the icon for the books, and nothing happens.

I have 12 gig of memory free on the iPad.

I tried deleting the app, and I tried turning books on and off in my iCloud settings,but no luck. I can see, open and read my books on my other iOS devices (an iPhone 8 and an iPhone 7).
