New Stickers Disappear Immediately (iOS 18 Messages App)

I've recently upgraded to an iPhone 16 Pro with iOS 18. I have lost the ability to create any new Stickers within the Messages app. When I create a new Sticker, it appears in my list of stickers for ~1 second and then disappears. I've tried restarting my device, logging out/in of iCloud, and turning iMessages off/on. These have not resolved the issue.

Prior to upgrading to the iPhone 16 Pro, Stickers were working as expected on my iPhone 15 Pro. I can create new Stickers on other devices running iOS 18 (e.g., iPad Air). However, nothing I've tried has gotten these working on iPhone 16 Pro.

Any guidance would be much appreciated!

I keep seeing people mention this solution brings stickers back, but no mention of it allowing for new sticker creation after the fact. So is it actually a full solution? It’s keeping me from updating my personal devices until it gets fixed. My work phone is the only one impacted right now. And while I could probably restore that one I feel like I shouldn’t have to do that to resolve my problems. If you do in fact go for it I’m hopeful to hear from you if it does actually fix both parts of the issue lol. Honestly this glitch is impacting so many users they shouldn’t avoid fixing it when they do the next update.

I had the same problem, I upgraded phones from 12 ProMax Plus to a 14 and stickers disappeared with IOS 17.5.1 and 18.1. For a week I tried everything. I had a chat with apple support and they made sure I had a fresh backup and instructed me to wipe the phone and use my latest backup.

This worked and stickers are back it’s an extreme fix, but I have my old stickers and can create new stickers.

it should be simpler but it isn’t at the moment.

Same here! I really thought I was the only one. I am a children’s book author and rely on stickers to help with promotion on social media and I need it fixed asap. Is there any fix anyone has found out or tried? :/

I’ve updated my iPhone to 18.1.1 and still the stickers are disappearing I’m trying to save but the next I see their gone in flip second, tried to empty my storage and now it’s green I don’t know why it keeps disappearing. Please help me fix this issue. Much appreciated.

I'm wondering if Apple CAN'T fix it or if Apple doesn't WANT to fix it. I think it's more likely that they can't. You spend a lot of money and then you get annoyed. I could have kept my old iPhone 12PM. The fact that the old stickers are gone is something we can live with, but the fact that you can't even add new ones is completely incomprehensible for the Apple brand! 18.1.1 didn't bring anything !

I would try to create a sticker from an image. The sticker will create and disappear in a couple of seconds

i have the same issue. i transferred from iphone 13 pro max to the iphone 16 pro and my stickers are all gone. when i try to add new ones, they disappear.
