Both my husband and i have iphones and separate icloud accounts but when he sends an email it is always received as from me. I am totally at a loss of how to change it so that his emails come from him and not me. Please can someone assist me.

Do you mean that this is happening specifically on your iPhone?
One thing came to mind immediately when I read your description of this behaviour. Check on your iPhone if you have his email address in your own Contacts app entry. If you do, this would account for why an email from him displays with your name; the Mail app will pick this up and report accordingly that you are the sender.
It may not be the culprit, but it's worth checking.
its not on my phone it is on his phone whenever he sends emails it shows my name - very confusing
