my metronome and drums, whether session or manually added drums are not in sync. even when i have quantized it

when recording u use midi for my drums. i either use manual playing, triggering them from my controller or use a session player or step sequencer. the problem is it all doesn't play in time even after quantising the notes. i understand the manual could be tricky but the step sequencer and the session player should be on the metronome. when i look convert to midi i see that its not snapping to the grid. is this a bug? how can i fix this
