Can't join audio tracks because a .caf file is in use.

Just recently ive been coming across this really annoying issue.

Various projects. Latest Logic Pro, MacBook Pro M1, OS 14.4

Ill try and join audio regions on a track together and I get an error message that the relevant .caf file can't be deleted as its in use in an open project.

Well yeah, the one im using. I have to bounce in place the whole track each time.

I know how to join, and it works fine for a while, then stops. Ive re started, rebooted etc. It's not just one project so I don’t think starting a new one Wiis ago got help. These all start of as new ones.
