Logic Pro iPad not sending sound to new (2024) Airpods Max

I just purchased the latest AirPods Max today and I have a Presonus Studio 26c that I use to record that is plugged into my iPad’s Logic Pro.

In Logic Pro iPad I have set my input to be the Presonus Studio 26c and then the output to be the AirPods Max. But sound literally does not come through. Every so often it’ll be set to AirPods Max but the sound will come out of the iPad and in other cases the playback is completely mute.

I asked chat GPT to help me out and this is what it recommended (I tried every single thing here that was applicable and none of them worked)
