homepod autoswitches audio from music stream to app [ex: tiktok]

I had to reset my homepod mini because I moved and now my home widget is showing “no supported accessories” even though I am able to play the audio when I hit airplay. I only say this because it might be affecting another feature. when I now open any device that has audio, it stops playing my music, and plays audio from that app. prior to my reset, that didn’t happen [only on tiktok live]. so my question is, how do I disconnect the autoplay feature for apps, when airplaying music to homepod? I know there is a way because as I said, it was not the case prior to reset.
