Icloud info backups

I now use Notes and other icloud features as my go to list maker. One of my ongoing lists was "Good Movies," which I never can remember when it comes time to make a recommendation. I had about 200 listed over a three year period, but then I checked today and it was gone. My only explanation is that I must have mistakenly deleted it (which seems rather easy to do).

Okay. Don't think I can get it back because I checked "Deleted" and it only works for 30 days. So, my question is, is there a way where I could make an "icloud backup" to prevent such losses, the way I make a facebook backup every year or two?
