Logic Pro X: Modulator parameter not loading after re-opening project

When I assign Modulator MidiFX to a plugin parameter, Modulator does not remember the assignment upon reopening. It just says "Loading" but never loads.

Working on:

LPX 11.0.1, Build 6029.

14 inch MacBook Pro 2021 M1 Pro; Sonoma 14.6.1.
