When I click on anything on a website or Favorites, a drop down menu appears. I have to click somewhere off the page for the drop down menus to stop momentarily.

It sounds as though you have got the left mouse button set to right-click (control click).
Go into system settings to check whether this is the case.
Thanks for your reply. But it didn't work. If anything, it made it worse.
If it is not a right click mouse issue, then perhaps the Control key on your keyboard is stuck.
