How can I set the sender's name from my custom domain on iCloud?

I have an iCloud account with a custom domain added, and I use Mac Mail.

My iCloud address is sent from Firstname Lastname > firstnamelastname@icloud.com, but my custom domain email only appears as hello@domain.com -- in both my address list and when sending emails. Some recipients get just "hello" as the name, others just the address.

I cannot see ANYWHERE to fix this, in either iCloud or Mail. Would be REALLY useful to be able to edit this behaviour?

TIA.
