Error 2002f

Hello, people of the community.

Not really used to forum, please forgive possible "Non respect of the rules"

Just wanted to share my recent experience on the subject.

I have a Mac mini able to run Monterey, but impossible to put it back.

Always came down to this 2002f error.

I was connected through Wi-Fi

Simple Ethernet connection took care of the issue.

For some reason it did not work at all through Wi-Fi.

I found this trick with your help, thus my feedback on this.

You guys take care.

2002f is a DNS issue...

error "2002f" was reported when i had DHCP forwarder enabled on the router.

the solution was simple:

1 - I had to set the static DNS servers to google's DNS IP addresses instead of openDNS.

2 - I Had to enable "DNSmasq for DHCP" & "DNSmasq for DNS"

The recovery worked as expected it took around 20 minutes to download the initial recovery utility, then another 4 Hours to download OSX lion.
