After updating to iOS 18, CarPlay isn’t connecting to my car

Is anyone else experiencing

issues with CarPlay? Ever since I updated to iOS 18, my CarPlay isn’t connecting to my car correctly anymore. If CarPlay is on and I’m listening to radio and I grab my phone to unlock it, music stops! This has never happened before. It’s very annoying. I can’t do anything with the phone anymore while the music is playing. Even if I’m stopped at a red light or just in my car parked. I’ve disconnected it to my car and reconnected and still the same thing. I even went to my settings on my phone, but it’s still occurring.
