What does a Blinking Green Light on my iPod shuffle mean?

whenever i plug my ipod into my charging brick it blinks the green light on the battery status

what does that mean????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

(for those who love talking about itunes connectivity, then yes, it connects to itunes and i can upload music to it)
