Email alert won't go away

I have two drafted emails with attachments that cannot be saved in the Drafts mailbox. The error says, "The message contains one or more attachments that are too large to be saved in the Drafts mailbox. Try deleting some attachments." I hit the "ok" button and nothing happens. It just keeps popping back up with the same message. It doesn't allow me to try to delete the attachments or delete the draft with the attachment. I don't know how to get around deleting the draft as I was able to already send the email with the attachment. Please help!
