GarageBand file transfer via whatsapp

For many years I was sharing GarageBand project files via WhatsApp. The file was appearing as filename.zip on the other side. We were selecting “forward the message” with the arrow sign and there was a menu coming up with the option “save to”. I was choosing the “files” path and given the file a name. That was it, I could open the file directly from the GarageBand menu. For a short while, this “save to” file doesn’t work. The menu is still there but nothing happens if I tap on it. Both sides IOS and GarageBand versions are up to date, all the sound files are installed. Is this a result of the policy change or do I miss something else?
