Apple Music keeps asking for subscription to listen to music I’ve purchased

What is the best way to listen to music I’ve purchased from iTunes Store? On my iPhone Apple Music keeps asking me to pay for a subscription and I just want purchase for music. Or will Apple surreptitiously cancel my ownership to listen to this music I’ve purchased from iTunes? Uggh no wonder that vinyl is making a comeback.

  • Is this music that was purchased on a Mac that you now want on your iPhone?
  • If you previously had the music on your iPhone and now see a Message when opening Apple Music with a Start Listening button, that is not signing you up for a subscription. You will see this message after an iOS update and just need to tap Start Listening to continue to the app. Some people think that Start Listening means that a subscription is required.
  • Are you able to redownload the Music?
