Sequoia upgrade and Lost incoming mail sounds
Since Sequoia upgrade, notification for incoming Mail has gone and can't get it back (yet still have sent swoosh noise strangely).
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanx

There seems to a really lack of understanding here, which can happen.
Your original posting was placed in the Sonoma Forum
Once it is there You can not move the question to the Mail Forum
In fact, neither can I move it
I requested of the Apple Moderator Team to Move the question from Sonoma to it's new home in Mail Forum

Notification Center on your Mac Specific to macOS 14 Sonoma
Use Notification Center on Mac. Specific to macOS 14 Sonoma
OP - "Fly Out >> Top Right Corner of Screen > "
Example and look very closely, this is the Fly Out To Right Corner of Screen of, specifically to you recent reply
Can not say, I having this issue on 3 different machines running macOS 15.0.1 Sequoia
You may try Mail >> Setting >> General >> New messages Sound and choose Play a New Sound
Also, make sure the ticker " Pay sounds for other mail actions " is enabled
Hello Gooner2105
Actually, I had Tested this before posting the reply
As long as the email client ( Mail ) is open and active denoted by the black dot in image below
I receive both the Fly Out >> Top Right Corner of Screen >> I do receive both the Visual Notification and the Sound for new emails
Visual Notification
Dock with black dot denoting Mail is Active
Yeah, sadly black dot is there denoting Mail is Active, on mine, yet I only get Swoosh sound on sent, yet no received sound.
Out of interest, what do you mean by "Fly Out >> Top Right Corner of Screen >>"
Apologies - my misunderstanding as new to all this.
Thought it was under Sonoma, (hence original posting), as thought it was connected to me upgrading to it.
Appreciate you input PRP_53, and getting it moved,
Ta
Hi PRP_53
Thanx for your reply - played around with both those options last 24 hours and sadly hasn't made any difference.
Take it you haven't resolved it on your x3 machines?

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Also just noticed that when a new EMail comes in, they aren't "unread" and highlighted - seem to be read immediately, with no notification, visual or sound, at all ?????
I will ask this question be moved to a more appropriate venue
Then, perhaps another user may pickup this question
Good Luck sorting this out
Where should I move it to? (Sorry, prob my misunderstanding)
