24' inch cinema display cannot connect to lenovo ideapad s340


Hi,


I have a 24' apple cinema display and want to connect to my Lenovo Ideapad S340 via usb C port


Cinema display works perfectly (still) with 17'macbook pro & brand new Ipad Pro 12'


but cannot detect via settings on Ideapad at all.


Purchased a StarTech.com USB-C to Mini DisplayPort Adapter - 4K 60Hz USB 3.1 Type-C to Mini DP Adapter - Type-C to Mini DP Converter (CDP2MDP) plugged into laptop, no joy.


Have updated drivers etc still no joy.


Any ideas???
