Final Cut Pro NO DATA - Black Clip

I'm actually providing an answer to WELL KNOWN issue. The timeline has black clips in it and says no data. No matter what you do, updating the computer, checking the bundle folder, relinking, creating your own alias's for the clips, etc. nothing works... except. TRY THIS.

I keep all clips on an external SSD, like most do.

-Go to your folder with all your clips.

-Drag them on to the timeline. They should appear.

-Delete what you just put into the timeline.

-Relink the files like you normally would if you get the red box of death with triangle.

Now, I had some clips messed up, don't fear.

-Duplicate your project *a few times.*

Go to one of the duplicates and it should be all functional.

Enjoy!
