I have mac mini M1 2020 with ventura 13.7 and i need at least sonoma 14.4 for using photoshop 2025.
But in my update check there is no sonoma update available... only the very new sequoia one.
Is anybody knows why ?
Is there a safety issue to update sonoma from ventura ?

Follow this How to get old versions of macOS and verify what version this computer Qualifies to install.
Choose macOS Sonoma which should be version 14.7
Safari will open a redirect and open the Apple Store where the download can commence.
Suggest having at least 50 GB of Empty Space on the drive.
It will allow the Full Version ( about 12.xx GB ) to download, then expand and then commence to install.
If there is Third Party Security Software installed - remove it.
It will interfere with both the download and installation process.
Just checked the oldest versions of Sonoma are

Yes. Because your Mac supports Sequoia which is the latest version available. Not much point in upgrading to Sonoma when Sequoia is available.
I also have Ventura 13.7 on my iMac, updates do not show an update for Sonoma 14.6.1 for photoshop 2025. I don't show Sequoia either?
FWIW, Sonoma and Sequoia require a 2019 or later iMac.
