iCloud email by thread

I would like to turn off my emails from groups by thread/conversatoin. on my iCloud webmail, Windows pc. I find it unworkable. I appreciate this has been asked previously so was wondering whether Apple have any update as to whether this likely to be changed so that we can turn it off? My emails are not grouping on my iPhone, so this seems to be a webmail issue.
