Apple TV screen goes black with internet connection issues

Have used Apple TV for several months. Now several times a day the screen goes black. It usually comes back in 10-15 seconds. Sometimes it comes back with a message that there is no connection to internet . Usually have to reboot the apple unit to resume.

is this an Apple problem or the tv or internet’s problem…

is the Apple TV unit repairable? Can the Apple Store troubleshoot?
