Recovering manually synced playlists on MacBook Pro

I do not sync my music via Cloud. I sync manually to each device.

I do this because I travel to lots of places with poor internet and can’t get access to my music.

When I install locally I always have access to full library regardless of internet accessibility.

So a while back when I did a sync I lost all of my custom playlists on my MacBook Pro and when I synced to other devices it replicated the erase on those devices.

I do have one device (iPod) that retained all the playlists because when I noticed the issue I did not sync locally to that device.

Is there a way I can recover the playlists on the Mac?
