iOS 18.0.1 Not able to accept AirDrop files, iPad beeps, but no option to accept or decline pops up

I’m using an iPad Pro with IOS 18.0.1

trying to send files from my phone to my iPad used to work perfectly. After recent update to 18.0.1 on both devices the option for accepting no longer appears. The iPad beeps so I know they’re talking to each other but the option for accepting never appears on the iPad so there’s no way to transfer the files. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, I assumed since you said both devices were yours, they use the same Apple Account (formerly Apple ID). Now that you explain one device is work related and the other personal, it would make perfect sense for them to have different Apple Accounts, and in that case my remarks above would not apply.

Since the two devices are both yours, there is no option to accept an AirDrop, as there is no ability to decline the AirDrop. It just happens!

One of them is a work iPad the other is my personal iPhone. And no, the files do not automatically show up.
