Trying to switch from Spark Mail to Apple Mail now that I am at last an Apple ecosystem - having problems and many questions.
Prior to several months ago, I used an Android phone, hence my decision to use Spark Mail, most features of which I liked very well. Some features required me to pay a fairly stiff price for the Premium version so I decided why not give Mail a good try since I finally replaced my Android with an iPhone and am now all Apple.
However, I have several initial questions and it seems like I may have more so please bear with me:
- I am unable to add my opticomm@yahoo.com account even though it worked fine in Spark.
- Now have four accounts added, including two Gmail accounts. Can I rename them?
- Mail seemed to bring over many if not all of several folders I had in Spark but now I have what seems like a much longer unwieldy list in Mail. Several folders hold hundreds of emails and one holds about 9,000 which is totally baffleing to me because Spark enabled me to efficiently keep my active emails to within 50 to 75 at any given time.
- I read somewhere that I could easily Block unwanted emails but I haven't found that option yet. That was a very valuable feature in Spark.
- Perhaps the biggest feature I miss greatly is the share icon as an option in every email, as was the case with Spark. In fact this could be a deal-breaker. I am a huge user of the Bear App and I had understood that could be easily integrated with Mail but have yet to figure out how. There are other third-party apps I would like to integrate as well, Zotero being one of them.
I wish I could be more positive about Mail and hope someone will be able to set me straight on all of the above as I would really like to be able to use Mail if at all possible.
