Paramount movie codes and itunes

I read a thread that talked about redeeming a code that came with a Blu-ray for a free digital download. That thread mentioned to specify Apple iTunes as the provider when you redeem the code on paramount movies.com. I was wondering if redeeming the code will only make it downloaded to the iPad (or computer) where you redeemed it

? Or can you also then access it from the Apple TV+ app on an Apple TV or Roku?

basically want to watch it on my tv vs the iPad or stream it over airplay to the tv.
