Using Labels in Pages

I have an AVERY 8160 template in pages. When I open it, it comes up With a columns and rows of labels. In each label it says "Place text here". I type several or more addresses into the left column beginning at the top of the column and continuing down the column, (I type them in myself) and then I delete "Place text here" in all the others.I do this so it doesn't print out in all the other labels. As you can imagine...thats a real pain. There has to be a better way to be rid of the "Place text here" in the unused labels...I just don't know how to do it. Can anyone help me with this?
