Noisy camera after macOS 15.1 update on MacBook Pro M1 Pro

I feel my macbookpro m1 pro camera became noisy (many spots) after updating to macos 15.1. I've made sure there are no scratches or dirt on my camera and before that it was fine. is there another possibility because this happened after I updated macos

I have spoken with Apple support, they are aware of issue and it will be fixed in the upcoming macOS 15.2 update (mid December).

So, I got in touch with customers service 3 times. No one can fix it. Camera needs to be replaced after a little over one year of use on the M2 Chip Macbook Air after upgrade to 15.1.1. Cost, $621 LOL for a $1000 brand new machine. My last MacBook Air lasted 8 years! After my iPhone 11 heated up and bent the frame, I will probably let my patriotic fervor for Mac die and move over to less expensive versions. I have been a Mac user since 1992!

The 15.2 update did not fix the problem for me unfortunately. Anyone alse still having this problem after 15.2?

While better than it was, I think it's still not what it was in November. But there was notable improvement from 15.1 to 15.2 for me (16" MBP M1 Max). The end product is a little bit worse than it originally was, thanks to the software update 👍🏼

You know things are getting weird with me an Apple. I have been a faithful Mac guy since 1992, but recently with an overheated phone that bent and now my camera going south on me after an upgrade to my year old MacBook Air and looking at $600 fix, I am beginning to think about making the move to what I always considered the dark side. I bought an Honor phone for $225 while teaching in China this year. Better camera than on my iPhone 14 and overall quite nice for 1/5th the price. As much as I have loved being a part of the Mac family and the overall convenience of communication between the devices, I am thinking it's time to say adios. I know that Android also have their problems, but the price points are ******* me off as I feel the quality has diminished on all my products Apple products, Including my fancy earbuds.

Well, technically I guess you are correct arpena. But, my issue which is supposedly hardware, happened right after the upgrade to 15.1.1. That is why I have commented on this thread, to let be aware that the upgrade was a disaster for me and to see its impact on others. It could be totally coincidental, but based on what I have read I think there may be a connection. Most importantly my computer is only a bit over a year old and for it to malfunction at this stage of the game is disappointing.
