old imac with windows, i want macos

I bought this mac a while ago, and it came with Ubuntu with no other partitions, so I put windows vista on it but now I want mac os snow leopard on it.

i made a bootable usb with disk util, and held option on startup, but that didn't work. i know the usb was made correctly because i can boot from it on my macbook.

Any help?
