Mac Mini M2 Pro - USB issues

Hi. I recently got a Mac Mini M2 Pro, and I've noticed a problem when using USB-A ports.

  • The Logitech wireless mouse receiver sometimes lags
  • My 13-port Anker USB 3.0 HUB, which has an external power supply, is intermittent (I notice my external hard drives disconnecting and reconnecting on their own from time to time).

I tried using an adapter to connect the HUB to the USB-C port, but the intermittency continues. I've never had this problem with my Intel i7 Mac mini, so it's pretty frustrating. It seems to be a problem only with the USB ports. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of a known problem identified by Apple?

Thanks a lot!

What all is connected to the Anker hub..?

Have you added any new high speed USB cables, drives or devices to the Anker hub or Mac mini..?

High speed USB cables, drives and other devices could be interfering with Logitech receiver to mouse signal.

I would try testing the Logitech receiver in a different port or on a short extension cable.

Intermittent drive problems can come from having a bad cable, a bad drive or to many drives competing for power.

I would first check the AC power supply of the Ankers hub to make sure that it is plugged in and working.

Then I would test one or two drives at a time to make sure that each one of those is working properly.
